DAY 5 - MIAGAO TRIP

Trip to Miagao > <

On this day, our activity plan is to go visit the ISAT U branch campus in Miagao. I was asked to prepare and would be picked up by the campus car at 7 o'clock. Nia and I wore formal suits because we thought that our activity today was an introduction to students at ISAT U Miagao. That day we agreed to wear Batik clothes and formal pants and heels. We thought that this is our opportunity to introduce one of Indonesia's cultures, namely Batik, more broadly to Filipino students.

While waiting for the pick-up, we sat at the security guard post and chatted with the security there. Not long after that the campus car came and we set off. On that day Nia and I were accompanied by Anjeneth and Jonna as buddies, Sir Ryan as our campus mentor and a driver. The journey to Miagao is quite long, approximately we forged a 3-hour drive from Dumangas to Miagao. Although the journey to our destination was long, we enjoyed the trip by chatting and enjoying the view. I was very happy, because I can enjoy the view of the beach and also the trees

In the middle of the trip, Sir Ryan said that we did not go to ISAT U Miagao campus. However we will go on a tour to several places with exchange students in ISAT U La Paz. When I heard that, I was very happy because I could meet again with Ilham and Husein (my friends from UNS). I was very excited because we would spend the day traveling.

When we arrived at my destination, I was finally able to meet my friends who were deployed at ISAT U La Paz. It turned out that Ilham and Hussein were not alone. At ISAT U La Paz there are two other Indonesian students, namely Daffa and Sherlin. They are from the Universitas Madiun, and they are here for the International Credit Transfer program for one semester. There is also a student from Japan named Manato, who also participated in the International Credit Transfer program. We got to know each other and exchanged social media.

The first place we visited was Igbulawan Farm. We took a lot of pictures here. Apart from the fact that this is a rare opportunity where we can get together. Igubulawan Farm also has a good view. Because it is located on a plateau, we can see the beauty of nature. The view is very beautiful and green. Despite the scorching weather, it did not dampen our desire to capture as many moments as possible.

After spending time in Igbulawan, we got off and prepared for our next destination. Our destination is not jau from Igbulawan Farm. After seeing the green scenery of the forest, it's time for us to see the blue ocean. We visited Butong-Bato Beach Resort. I am very happy because compared to the mountain view, I prefer the beach view.

The water on this beach is very clear, I can even see various kinds of rocks under it. I had no intention of swimming because the clothes I was wearing didn't fit the situation. I'm a little annoyed, I should have been wearing sneakers instead of heels. But between us, Daffa, Husein and Manato chose to swim. We spent time playing in the water, and chatting casually while lunch.

After finishing our break at Butong-Bato Beach Resort, we prepared to head to our final destination, Miagao Church. I am very happy because I can visit one of the historical places in Miagao. They say that the church has been repaired several times, due to natural catastrophe. This church has European touch architecture and I really like that type of architecture. I often draw the perspective of European-style buildings when I have free time.

After taking pictures together and walking around, it's time for us to part ways again. We got into our respective campus cars. On the way home, it turned out that our campus car stopped by ISAT U Miagao Campus for a while. But we didn't go around, just waiting for Sir Ryan who had the necessities. After that we continued our journey home. Although I am sad about the flow from my college friends, I am also happy because since today I have met new friends.
