DAY 24 - 3RD TEACHING DAY

 3rd Teaching Day

Today is my third teaching practice. The orientation that I did was the same as before, namely apperception (recalling the topic I taught last week, namely about unsaturated and saturated solutions), goals according to what is written in the daily lesson log, and motivating students regarding the importance of learning about today's material, namely dilute and concentrated solution.

Although the learning model I use is still the same, namely the 5E learning cycle, I try to make learning limited to only 1 hour. I put together a simple experiment so that students can complete it within that time. In the Engagement stage I played a video about dilute and concentrated solutions. For the Exploration stage, I demonstrated to students the difference between dilute and concentrated solution using powdered juice. Next I ask students why they can be different, students' answers vary. For the Explanation stage, I was guiding students in the observation process. For the Elaboration stage asking students about the example of a dilute and concentrated solution in everyday life. In closing, I asked students to present the conclusion of today's learning, as well as give reflections and quiz.

On this day, Ma'am Rosie as a cooperating teacher and Ma'am Jell as Science Coordinator also witnessed my teaching practice and assessed me. In addition, today is the last day of teaching at Josen Monfort National Science High School, because the day after tomorrow I will take Nia back to the airport and on Saturday I will return to Indonesia. At this time I felt touched because my students prepared a surprise in the form of a teacher's day greeting card.

Thank you Ma'am Rosie and ma'am Jell for their guidance during my teaching practice at Josen Monfort National Science High School, thank you Ma'am Adelina for welcoming and accepting me to do teaching practice here, thank you for all the teachers at Jose Monfort who have shared their experiences and stories with me, as well as my dear students. I will never forget you <3.
